Project Description: Redesign the packaging for an existing product. The product may be a hard or soft good, food, beverage, electronic, consumable, etc. It may be partly visible or totally veiled.
Target Audience: Women of all ages.
Competition: Carmex, Soft Lips, Burt's Bees, Nivea, Chapsticks, Eco Lips
Eos Products know how you feel. “They want lip balm whose feel and packaging makes us smile, shaving cream that leaves our legs smooth and moisturized, and natural body lotion that makes our skin oh-so-touchable.” They encourage people to admire the packaging and the products because of their uniqueness and quality.
Design Goals and Objectives: The idea was to create a packaging design that fits well with the existing primary package of the lip balm; A smooth, round egg-like packaging. The secondary packaging are the ones that are seen on the shelves or for purchase. The packaging has to follow the essence of the brand: remarkably pretty, pretty remarkable.
Concept: To communicate a sense and feel of smoothness that mimics the original lip balm packaging. The packaging concept is to create a shape that fits well with the circular shape of the product.
Layout: The appearance of the layout is very clean and smooth. A soft touch paper is used to boost the manipulation of feeling, the same sensation as the product itself. It is very simple, including only the logo, the flavor of the lip balm and a small graphic that adds up to having a pre-experience of how the product tastes and feels while using it.
